Thai Bank Wants One-Hour Increase in Work Day.

Nov. 4--Krung Thai Bank plans to ask the cabinet to increase working hours by one hour per day, says bank president Viroj Nualkhair.
He said the bank was also planning new initiatives aimed at boosting profits beyond expected loan growth following last week's interest cuts.
The bank cut its prime lending rates last week to 6.5 percent, the lowest in the banking system.
Currently Krung Thai Bank branches are open seven hours per day, starting at 9.30 am. Mr Viroj said he would increase staff pay by 15 percent to compensate for the additional working hours, a programme which has already received support from the ...
