Nov. 4--The New Bangkok International Airport Co, which will operate Suvarnabhumi Airport, has been asked to reassure the authorities that it can service its debts.

The company's financial projections will be checked by the National Economic and Social Development Board, which is scheduled to discuss the financial aspects of the project today.

"The airport will cost more than 100 billion baht, a substantial part of which has came from state investment and loans, particularly from the Japan Bank for International Co-operation. But the company's financial plan has yet to be seen," said Chakramon Phasukvanich, the ...
