Nov. 1--The Japanese domination of the local water heater industry through the National brand is being challenged by the joint forces of two European brands, according to Stiebel Eltron executives.
Stiebel Eltron, one of Europe's long established water and room heating companies, acquired Swedish-based Electrolux's home comfort division in January.
Stiebel Eltron was launching AEG, which was previously an Electrolux brand, in Thailand this month in a bid to increase its market share in the water heater industry, said Roland Hoehn, managing director of Stiebel Eltron Thailand.
