Nov. 1--Osotspa Co, one of the country's largest consumer products conglomerates, is rejuvenating its 68-year-old Tamjai pain-relief pills with a new commercial starring teen idol Sornram Thepitak.
The 20-million-baht campaign, to be broadcast from Nov 9, is projected to help reverse stagnant and falling sales over the past four years.
The decline began after the company removed caffeine and phenacetin from its formula more than a decade ago after the substances had been prohibited by the Food and Drug Administration, said Narong Rasamimongkol, the company's pharmaceutical market director.
