Nov. 1--Red Bull Beverage Co has introduced Loog Tung, a sister brand of its Krating Daeng energy drink, aiming to capture the rural mass market.
The new product will allow the company to cover all segments of the energy drink market, complementing Red Bull Extra, aimed at young people, and the original Krating Daeng (Red Bull in Thai), which is popular among blue-collar consumers.
Loog Tung (sons of the field) targets consumers with monthly income of less than 8,000 baht. It will retail for seven baht per 150ml bottle with caffeine content unchanged at 50ml.
