Procurement Online Calls for Changes, Oil Giant Executive Says.

Dec. 5--While organisations can reap cost savings by buying goods and services online, implementing e-procurement requires change not only in systems and processes, but also management culture, according to Krisanapol Komolboon, vice-president of PTT's business development department.
Oil giant PTT Plc has been a leading proponent of e-procurement as a means of cutting administrative expenses and supply costs.
"Changing technology alone isn't enough. You need to change your culture and management as well," Mr Krisanapol said yesterday at a briefing on e-procurement for state agency executives.
