Dec. 3--Inflation in November, as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), dropped by 0.5 percent from the previous month, mainly due to little change in food and beverage prices.
The year-on-year increase for November was 1.2 percent, against 1.4 percent in October and 1.0 percent in November 2001, said Karun Kittisataporn, the permanent secretary of the Commerce Ministry.
The headline CPI in November stood at 104.6 points, compared with 105.1 points for the previous month (1998 is used as the base year, at 100 points).
