Dec. 3--Investment trends throughout Asia had largely recovered from their 1997 lows, according to Paul Hedges, head of custody sales and relationship management at Standard Chartered Bank.
Mr Hedges said the bank was seeing not only new customers investing in the region, but also higher intra-Asian investment transactions as well.
"We're seeing more transactions overall. ... The ticket sizes are smaller, but the number of transactions is up. It's more spreading of investments across a wider range," he said.
