Boeing negotiator gets 9 months
Darleen Druyun, the ex-No. 2 weapons buyer for the Air Force, was sentenced to 9 months in prison for negotiating a $250,000 job with Boeing while overseeing the jet maker's contracts with the military and lying to prosecutors. She's admitted to agreeing to a higher price for a pact as a gift to Boeing. Druyun is the highest ranking Pentagon official convicted in a corruption case since the late '80s. The case has haunted Boeing's military dealings. Boeing rose 1.5% to 52.48.
** Boeing said it delivered 67 commercial airplanes in Q3, up 2 from the same quarter a year ago.
** Armor Holdings got $100 mil in orders to provide Up-Armored Humvees to the Army and other customers, sending shares up 4% to 43.24, above a previous 52-week high of $41.67.
** Titan got a multiple-award contract worth over $1 bil to provide engineering and technical services to the NAVSEA Shipbuilding Office. Shares rose 2.5% to 14.29.
** General Dynamics said its Land Systems unit won 2 Army contracts worth $31.3 mil for work on the Stryker 8-wheeled combat vehicles. Shares rose 0.5% to 102.75.
