Oct. 1--The United States, a world leader in security technology, has offered to give advice to Thai Airways International regarding security issues for the national carrier's 13-billion-baht facility at the new Suvarnabhumi airport.
The US government, through the US Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), an export promotion body, has agreed to render up to US$700,000 in grants to THAI to fund consultancy work to come up with state-of-the-art security systems, previously only seen in spy movies.
