Oct. 1--Thailand's flourishing investment climate continues unabated, with the Board of Investment (BoI) hoping to attract new investment of about 600 billion baht for fiscal 2005, according to Sathit Sirirangkamanont, the newly appointed BoI secretary-general.
The value of investment projects applying for the BoI's promotion in fiscal 2004, which ended yesterday, exceeded the original target by 12.5 percent to reach 450 billion baht.
Mr Sathit said petrochemical, electronic and auto parts were likely to be the main investment targets for the year.
