Oct. 1--Wichai Thongtang, the lawyer who helped Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra win his 2001 asset concealment case before the Constitutional Court, has since moved beyond his legal practice to build up a health-care empire through his holdings in the Phyathai Group.
Prasit Patana, the holding company operating the Phyathai Hospital Group, will continue to expand through acquisitions of other health care operators and related businesses over the next four years, Mr Wichai said.
