Oct. 1--TBWA/Thailand Co's managing director Chaipranin Visudhipol, chosen as the new president of the Advertising Association of Thailand yesterday, has vowed to tighten professional standards and take steps to deal with a shortage of skilled workers, a problem that continues to plague the industry.
Mr Chaipranin, 45, succeeds Parames Rachjaibun, who served two four-year terms as president of the 80-member association.
Three candidates, including Mr Chaipranin, had been nominated by the association's membership, comprised of media outlets and advertising agencies, but the other two refused to accept.
