Patriot Act ruling to be appealed

Attorney General John Ashcroft said the Justice Department will appeal judge's ruling that barred secret searches of Internet and telephone records, included in the Patriot Act, as unconstitutional. The ACLU hailed the judge's decision.

FDA: Faux Canadian drugs found

The agency said it intercepted drugs purportedly shipped from Canada but actually made and sent from other countries including Singapore. The drugs had been ordered through www.canadarx.net.
