American Airlines' cargo division will raise by 20% the fuel surcharge for domestic and most overseas shipments originating in the U.S. AA's passenger division this week rescinded a $5 each-way surcharge after rivals didn't match the hike. Shares fell 2% to 7.33.

Delphi will lay off 120 workers at a Dayton, Ohio-area plant. The car parts maker cited reduced demand for air bags and door panels. Shares rose 1.5% to 9.29.
