General Mills goes whole grain
The No. 2 U.S. cereal maker will make all of its breakfast cereals with whole grains, adding Trix and Lucky Charms to the list of offerings made with the less refined grains. Cheerios, Wheaties, Total and Wheat Chex are already whole grain. The firm, which also sells Pillsbury biscuits and Green Giant vegetables, recently missed Q1 estimates because of higher commodity prices. Shares fell 0.5% to 44.90.
