Oct. 2--The company singled out for criticism after securing a 350-million-baht government contract to organise Bangkok Fashion Week 2005 yesterday defended its capability to do the job.

AV Projects Co cited its long experience in fashion showcases and the event organising business as the basis for its successful bid.

Bangkok Fashion Week 2005 is one of 11 projects in the 1.4-billion-baht Bangkok: City of Fashion programme.
