Oct. 2--The French bank Societe Generale announced yesterday that it had sold its 36 percent stake in Asia Credit to local and international investors in a private placement priced at 4.18 baht per share.
Local investors include Jarin Pongpairoj, Chavalit Kanachanachayphoom and Sackchai Wongmalasith. Thai investors purchased a total of 17.74 percent of the shares in the transaction.
Foreign investors, who took an 18 percent stake, include Farallon Capital, Henderson Asia Pacific Equity Partners and Mizuho International. Each of the local and foreign investors involved in the deal hold less than a 5 percent stake, as ...
