Sanofi-Aventis to keep U.S. research headquarters in Malvern, Pa.

Sep. 28--Sanofi-Aventis, the world's third-largest pharmaceutical company, will keep its U.S. research and drug development headquarters in Malvern, a company official said yesterday.
The 750 scientists and researchers at the Great Valley Corporate Center in Malvern were part of Sanofi-Synthelabo SA, the French drug maker which in August bought larger rival Aventis SA for $61.9 billion.
Sanofi and Aventis agreed in April to combine after Sanofi raised its takeover offer.
