Chandler retirement center to reopen under new management. (East Valley Update)

A new retirement community will open in Chandler this summer, replacing a facility that filed for bankruptcy in 1987.

The community, which is undergoing a $250,000 renovation, will include a 64-bed skilled licensed facility called Park Regency Health Care Center and a 140-unit apartment complex retirement living center to be known as Park Regency Village.

Park Regency Inc., which is owned by Vernon R. Will, will operate the campus, although it does not own the property. Will also owns and operates Camelot Campus of Care in Peoria.
