Nine factors that can predict heart failure (HF) risk in postmenopausal women with CHD have been identified by US researchers.

Their prospective cohort study on 2,391 women who had CHD but not HF at baseline, found diabetes was the strongest single HF risk factor, increasing risk threefold.
