Sherwood Anderson called his autobiography A Story Teller's Story; his best-known long work, Winesburg, Ohio was subtitled A Group of Tales... Short fiction was his strength, yet the three short story collections published during his lifetime have been only sporadically in print. However, since founding Four Walls Eight Windows with John Oakes in 1987, publisher Dan Simon has been working to change that situation.
