Sep. 23--Residents opposed to a plan to build an access road to a development in the Ramtown area told the Township Council that the cost of the road will exceed the initial estimate of $750,000, and that the plan could lead to the township building other similar roads.
But Jim Burgess, who lives on Pine Needle Street near the construction site of Pine View Estates, a 174-home development, said the access road would take traffic away from his street, where many families with children have homes.
Burgess said the cost should be balanced with the benefit, especially "when it comes to the safety of the children."
