Jan. 16--Thai Samsung Electronics Co expects to capture a 15 percent share of the Thai mobile phone market by targetting the middle and upper markets.
Samsung plans to introduce eight new handset models in three main segments: fashion mobiles, business phones, and technology with special features such as built-in cameras.
Marketing manager Anake Anatanapong said the main focus was on the replacement segment which was expected to be the most significant market, with sales of five to six million handsets.
