Jan. 16--The government has set an expenditure budget of 1.028 trillion baht and a deficit target of 100 billion for fiscal 2004 starting on Oct 1, Finance Minister Somkid Jatusripitak said.

The Finance Ministry, Budget Bureau, Bank of Thailand and National Economic and Social Development Board agreed on the targets yesterday.

The projected deficit for fiscal 2004 is 30 billion baht less than the expected deficit this year. Revenue is projected at 928 billion baht, with investment representing ...
