Jan. 15--The prices of cement, cooking gas and vegetable oil will remain capped as there is still some leeway before current charges reach the ceiling.

As well, the scrapping of a price subsidy for cooking gas has been delayed to the middle of this year to ease the impact on consumers.

About 700 sellers of the products had been reminded the cap was still in place, said Siripol Yodmuangcharoen, the Internal Trade Department's director-general.
