Jan. 11--The Government Housing Bank said yesterday that it made new home loans totalling 61.92 billion baht last year, a 58.78 percent increase from its projection of 39 billion baht, thanks to the steady housing market recovery.
The higher loan exposure last year kept the GHB as the leader in the local housing loan sector with a 44.23 percent market share and helped more than 100,000 households own homes, according to Wisudhi Srisuphan, the bank's chairman and also director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office.
