Jan. 8--The information and communications technology minister wants TOT Corporation to set up what he calls TOT Online Centres to act as "clean Internet cafes" to provide easy access for the public.

In addition to being "clean" -- access to pornographic and offensive content would be blocked -- the project would support the e-government policy and allow people from all walks of life to have access to government e-services more easily, said Dr Surapong Suebwonglee.

As well, he said, the centres should facilitate the speedy exchange of information, similar to what Singapore and South Korea provided their people.
