Jan. 7--The Government Housing Bank yesterday signed loan contracts worth 18 million baht for a townhouse development recently restructured by the Thai Asset Management Corp.

GHB president Khan Prachuabmoh said it was the first time in several years that the state-owned housing bank had extended a corporate loan.

He said the loan was made as part of policy for state banks to offer support to the TAMC and help restructured developers resume operations.

The GHB was working with the TAMC to identify other potential firms for new credit support.
