Feb. 10--A final agreement has been reached on an import tariff reform programme for 1,188 product lines relating to the petrochemcial, chemicals, rubber and textiles industries.

Wisudhi Srisuphan, director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office, said that the framework had been completed following extensive discussions with the private sector.

He said under the new tariff framework, imports of raw materials would carry a tariff of just 1 percent, intermediate goods 5 percent and finished goods 10 percent.
