Feb. 7--The Treasury Department will be updating information on land prices this year to better reflect the market, Finance Minister Somkid Jatusripitak has said.
The department would survey land prices nationwide, he said, declining to say whether he thought charges were too high or too low.
However, he said that several private property firms had estimated market prices at 20 percent to 30 percent higher than valuations made before the 1997-98 Asian financial crisis.
