Feb. 7--As a dominant player according to new definitions of the Trade Competition Board, Honda is reviewing the way it handles its motorcycle unit in order to avoid breaking the law.

New definitions of market dominance, applied to the motorcycle and retail sectors, are expected to be proposed to the Cabinet for approval next week.

Honda's motorcycle unit meets the new definition of "market dominant", with a market share exceeding one-third of its segment and annual turnover surpassing five billion baht. According to the Internal Trade Department, Honda holds a 74.59 percent share of the local motorcycle market, ...
