Feb. 7--Sittipol 1919 Co, a major distributor of vehicle and motorcycle parts, says its sales in Cambodia have been reduced sharply by the closure of the border with Thailand and competition from fake parts.
Thanong Leeissaranukul, managing director, said the border closure after anti-Thai riots in Cambodia last week had reduced sales by 15 percent.
Cambodia is the main route for Thai-made vehicle parts exported to Vietnam where demand for cars and motorcycles is growing rapidly.
