Feb. 5--Despite Middle East tension and global economic worries, Siam Commercial New York Life Insurance (SCNYL) has said it expects to boost revenue by at least 50 percent this year.
"This year is turning tough for the industry and economy given the Iraq situation and the fragile global economy," said Donald Carden, president and chief executive.
"But we're confident of 50 percent growth as the local market has tremendous opportunities with only 15 million people holding life policies."
The company will promote individual life coverage, corporate insurance and bancassurance to reach its target.
