Bankruptcy Court in Thailand Rejects Petition Concerning Cement Producer.
Feb. 4--The Central Bankruptcy Court has rejected the Official Receiver's petition for the right to administer the rehabilitation plan of cement producer TPI Polene Plc on a temporary basis.
Prachai Leophairatana, chief executive officer of TPI Polene, said the court had also prohibited creditors from filing an objection to a planned float of new shares to raise US$180 million from local and foreign investors, and to remove him as the plan administrator.
According to Mr Prachai, the Jan 28 ruling stated that he had not yet been removed from the planner's position as the case filed by creditors was still at the hearing stage. The plan administrator has the ...
