Lukoil is drawing up plans for development of the Y Korchagina field, which is part of the firm's Severny block in the Russian sector of the Caspian.
The Russian firm expects to start producing 1mn t/yr (20,000 b/d) of crude and 1bn [m.sup.3]/yr of gas at the field from 2008. The Severny block comprises five fields--Y Korchagina, Khvalynskoye, Rakushechnoye, "170km" and Sarmatskoye. Lukoil plans to build integrated infrastructure for these fields with output from the group expected to plateau in 2011-12 at 3.5mn t/yr of oil and condensate and 14bn [m.sup.3]/yr of gas.
