Mar. 1--Far East DDB Plc, a communications agency affiliated with the Saha Group consumer goods conglomerate, will form a joint venture with New York-based DDB Worldwide to operate a direct marketing business in Thailand.

The move is the first joint venture between the two companies since Far East DDB signed an agreement in 2001 to obtain expertise, skills, training and new ideas on brand building and international business from the DDB network.

Wasin Teyateeti, managing director of Far East DDB Plc, said the new venture, Rapp Collins (Thailand) Co, would be registered with capital of five million baht.
