Feb. 12--The Asset Management Corporation, a state agency established to oversee assets from defunct finance companies following the 1997 crisis, plans to invite private developers to invest and develop property assets in the firm's portfolio.
Syn Ekwishan, AMC managing director, said investors operating under the consortium concept would be able to secure licensing agreements faster to develop properties as well as benefit from specific business tax and transfer waivers by joining up with the agency.
