Apr. 1--Toyota Motor Thailand is restructuring its management ranks in order to help the company maintain its leadership in the increasingly competitive local automobile industry.

President Ryoichi Sasaki said the changes would give the company more flexibility in management to cope with the growth of the industry.

Toyota has led the industry for 24 years with vehicle sales last year reaching 130,052 units, capturing a 31.8 percent share of a total market of 409,362 units.
