Apr. 1--With the fallout from the war in Iraq and the pneumonia virus outbreak expected to weigh heavily on the tourism and hotel sectors, the government should offer more incentive to the local meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (Mice) business to lure international visitors, says a leading global exhibition organiser.
Although the government had made continuous efforts to promote the Mice market, there was still "room for improvement", said Nichapa Yoswee, vice-president of Reed Tradex Co.
