Mar. 12--Mobile phone operator TA Orange said it would break even in 2003, its second year in operation, and was targeting for one million new users by year-end.

However, the company's main strategy is to increase average revenue per customer rather than be too concerned about user numbers, said chief executive Supachai Chearavanont.

Co-Chief Apirak Kosayodhin said TA Orange has projected to generate an average monthly 600 baht in revenue per user.

Mr Apirak said TA Orange's proportion of prepaid and postpaid users was about 70:30, while the revenues per line were approximately 350 baht and 1,100 baht ...
