Mar. 11--Barely three months after a major revamp in its programmes, the Mass Communication Organisation of Thailand (MCOT), the operator of television Channel 9, has made further changes in its prime-time content in a new bid to capture the mass audience.
It is adopting a softer tone for the period after the 8 pm news broadcasts, replacing documentary series and news-related programmes with game shows and variety entertainment.
As of April 1, the new programmes will be produced by some of the country's leading firms, including Kantana Group, GMM Grammy Plc, RS Promotion Plc, JSL Co and WorkPoint Entertainment.
