Mar. 10--Funding opportunities are about to open up for Thai entrepreneurs with business ideas centred on the wireless industry.

Siemens Mobile Acceleration (Smac), a wholly owned subsidiary of German telecom giant Siemens and Europe's foremost wireless seed investor, wants to expand its business in Thailand and is ready to fund start-up Thai companies that offer innovative products with high growth potential.

Smac chief executive and president Dietrich Ulmer told the Bangkok Post in Cannes, France that he was consulting with Siemens Thailand executives to look for business opportunities in the country.
