Mar. 8--Thailand and Malaysia are working to quadruple bilateral trade and expand new areas of co-operation in cultural affairs, energy, Islamic banking and suppression of car smuggling, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Sihasak Phuangketkeow.
The joint commission for bilateral co-operation between the countries resumed meetings on Thursday after a three-year break to discuss issues such as border trade, investment, agriculture, education, tourism, science and technology.
