Mar. 8--Dentsu, Japan's largest advertising agency, will establish a second agency in Thailand as part of a bid to build its business portfolio in Asia.
The new entity will be a joint venture by Dentsu Asia Pte, the company's Singapore arm, and Thai partners and will serve non-Japanese clients, who are not handled by Dentsu (Thailand) Co.
Dentsu (Thailand) Co is one of the country's top 10 agencies and handles the accounts of Toyota, Ajinomoto, Canon and other clients from Japan.
The parent company is looking to change its image from an agency that serves only Japanese clients.
