Apr. 12--Thai Airways International yesterday awarded contracts to four local construction companies to build four supporting facilities at Suvarnabhumi airport for a total cost of 640 million baht.
The companies are Sino-Thai Engineering and Construction Plc, Promvivat Co, Italian-Thai Development Plc and Ch. Karnchang Plc.
The selection process was presided over by Air Chief Marshal Narongsak Sangapong, the national carrier's executive vice-president for special projects.
ACM Narongsak said the contractors would be responsible for four of THAI's six construction projects at Bangkok's second international airport.
