Apr. 12--Local retail oil prices will not be reduced despite the fact that the state Oil Fund has gained about 800 million baht over the past few weeks as world oil prices have fallen.
Metta Banturngsuk, director of the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO), said oil prices in the international market remained uncertain and could continue to fluctuate.
As a result, he said, local retail fuel prices needed to be frozen at the current levels for some time to come.
