Apr. 10--EOToday.com, an e-commerce unit of GMM Grammy Plc, the country's largest entertainment firm, will be spun off as a new company as part of the group's expansion plans.

Its separation will take place this quarter or the third quarter in order to focus on the increasing value of existing music in digital format as well as channels as a content provider in partnership with several technology owners.

Varavij Kambhu Na Ayudhaya, managing director for EOToday.com, would not give details of the company's registered capital nor the name of the new company.
