Thai Food Company to Sell Instant Noodles in Larger Packet.
Apr. 9--Thai President Foods Plc has introduced a larger packet of its Mama instant noodles which it hopes to stimulate growth in the market which contracted 2 percent in the first quarter.
Managing director Pipat Paniengvate said the Mama Big Pack weighed 90 grammes and retailed at seven baht, compared to 60g in the normal packet which is sold at five baht.
The big packets come in two flavours -- minced pork and tom yum kung.
Ajinomoto Sales (Thailand) Co, distributor of Yum Yum instant noodle, earlier introduced "Yum Yum Jumbo", the largest packet in the market for a number years.
