Apr. 8--Listed companies are expected to post continued strong performance for the first quarter, according to Sathit Wannasilpin, research head at Capital Nomura Securities.
Securities firms, however, were expected to underperform the market, due to declines in average daily turnover on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Daily turnover in the first quarter fell 49.15 percent from the same period last year, as investors mostly looked to consolidate their positions amid concerns first regarding the US-Iraq war, then later about the Sars epidemic.
